Back to the Height

The previous owner or previous-previous (more likely) put a lowering kit on the bike. I really did not like the lowered rear of the bike so tonight I decided to remove the lowering kit and change out the factory plate holder for a letdown plate holder I had left over from my softail when I changed the rear fender after being rear-ended and putting a Springer rear fender with a tombstone light. Sometimes accidents can pay off. The letdown plate really gives it a nice sporty look and really sets off the blue antique plate.

I think the bike looks better at stock height and feels more leveled and does not feel like I am going to fall off the back.

The shock absorber sits behind the location of where it should be. about a 2 inch lowering of the bike with the move.

Here is a picture at stock height without the lowering kit and you can see how nice the letdown plate looks on the bike.

Mr. McGee, loves to hang out in the garage, next bike will have to have a sidecar for him.
